Hi everyone! On previous post I published a sample project Review Part I(cleansing foam/exfoliate/hand cream), so therefore on this post I continue about sample project review part II(Serum).
Without any further ado let’s dig down inside:
01. Lancome Visionnaire
Unfortunately, I didn’t see any positive changes on my skin and although I enjoyed using it I cannot justify to purchase the original bottle. I won’t splurge on Something expensive but didnt have any effect. I liked the light-reflecting particles suspended in the Visionnaire liquid since the effect was similar to a sheer highlighting primer but I have many other products that can imitate the same thing. Not to mention that shine and mica sparkles are not real skincare ingredients, especially when we are talking about such expensive skincare.
Despite all that I would not recommend this serum to whoever have a Sensitive Skin because the Visionnaire formula has a significantly high alcohol content, which can dry out and irritate delicate skin.
02. Sulwhasoo first care activating serum
Basically, this is a pre-toner booster. You use it at the first step of your skincare routine, or second step if you are using a treatment essence too. I fall in love with a pricey, luxury skincare. But this serum did nothing to me, maybe because it does contain a high alcohol so it’s dry out my skin and make my makeup a bit clogged.
03. Sulwhasoo snowise brightening serum
Sulwhasoo Snowise Brightening Serum is a lightweight, hydrating, quick-absorbing pearly gel with a pleasantly spicy scent. and I find the fragrance a little less intense as well. (I happen to love the way the ginseng serum smells). However because the alcohol ingredients make my skin more dry and my makeup clogged. The serum does brightens my skin, I see a bit changing on my skin.
04. Tomaru Soulful Morning Drop
Its an ultra lightweight gel type cream perfect for people with oily skin types. It also contains acorn + ceramide, and is supposed to give an instant hydration effect as well as cool/soothe the skin. the texture is really comfortable and the hydration can be felt instantly. It has a white gel like consistency that is quickly absorbed into the skin.
05. Yehwadam Revitalizing Serum
The serum is champagne colored, a bit viscous, somewhere in between emulsion and watery. A bit sticky when I apply and even stickier, if you apply oil-based moisturizer next. It has perfumery scent. It does moisturizing and smell great if you don’t mind the perfumery scent however it’s a bit sticky on my skin. Therefore, I usually apply before bed, even the air-conditioning is in full blast, my skin feel moist and soft throughout the night and upon waking up.
06. Aesop Lucent Facial Concentrate
If you’re looking for a moisturizer that will hydrate without feeling heavy, brighten skin tone, provide antioxidant benefits and soothe stressed skin, look no further than Aesop’s Lucent Facial Concentrate. The Lucent Facial Concentrate can be used over other serums as a moisturizer. It has a watery texture that literally sinks into the skin and dries to a comfortable matte finish. This one is really great for city girls who lives in hot and humid climate.
07. Iunik Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum
My skin absolutely loves propolis because the effects are that it really calms and soothes my irritations and any skin troubles I have. It helps to keep the redness at bay which I’m prone to getting (or reduces it when I do have redness), and even calms my skin overall so it reacts less to external stimuli, which means less breakouts.
I also noticed, my skin feels a lot more comfortable and hydrated during the day. My normal skin typically gets quite dry and tight from within by the afternoon (which is when I know my skin is getting dehydrated), so I knew it was this that was helping my skin retain hydration and moisture.
08. Etude House Pink Vital Water Serum
The texture of the serum is also really pleasant, it’s lightweight yet moisturizing and quickly absorbed. I’ve got the impression that it makes my skin more plump, healthy, and smooth. Even this serum is not very expensive but it is much better than a lot of luxury products
09. Hera White Program Effector
This product is a lightweight serum with a thicker consistency and wonderful fragrance. I was worried it would be too heavy in my morning skincare routine, but I was wrong. Once applied to the skin, it absorbs quickly leaving my skin silky smooth and hydrated, without feeling sticky or oily. It plays well with the rest of my skincare products and makeup.
This is a wonderful product that makes your skin look bright and youthful, but don’t expect miracles.
10. A’pieu Snail Vita Essence
It’s essentially a thick, milky white liquid. Basically how you would expect snail slime to be. The essence absorbs pretty quickly, and doesn’t leave sticky residue or anything. This actually helped soften my skin a little. Not much (It was only an essence, so I didn’t expect much), but it was still pretty good. It didn’t help moisturize my dry patches that much, though.
Despite making my skin a bit softer, this essence wasn’t really anything special. It might be good for sensitive skin, but probably not for dry skin.
11. Sulwhasoo Everfine Lifting Ampoule Serum
The texture is thick but very spreadable. The skin appears instantly deep nourished, becomes smooth and well-groomed if you wish. I think this serum is not a match for people with oily or combination skin. But for people with signs of aging, including loss of elasticity, this serum is a wonder.
12. Cosrx Galactomyces 95 Whitening Power Essence
For the first galactomyces-containing-essence I tried, COSRX Galactomyces 95 Whitening Power Essence does not disappoint. It does make my skin more glowy, It is refreshing and moisturizes well, and my skin is bouncier than ever, but I guess that is more because of all the hydration goodness in it instead of the legit melanin-prohibition. Well, good result does usually take time.
13. COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid
COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid is clear and slightly thicker than water, with a slippy texture that allows it to glide smoothly over skin. It has a slight chemical odor. The smell fades much more quickly than the strong menthol scent of Stridex Maximum Strength and is far less unpleasant. BHAs can be quite drying, It made my face feel like it was shriveling up and dying.
14. Iope Live Lift Serum
IOPE’s Live Lift Serum a highly concentrated, potent serum that visibly improves skin’s elasticity and forms a layer skin with a visibly tightening formula for smoother skin. You can clearly see the ingredient that will hold firm to your pores, planting moisture inside and closing it to keep out the dirt and toxins.
It Does go on smoothly, and moisture. the product gave a glowing and moist effects and leaves a fresh, and clean feeling. One thing that I noticed it doesn’t able to see much of an immediate effect.
15. Sulwhasoo Timetreasure Renovating Serum EX
This serum is incredible! I love how it’s not strongly scented and it isn’t sticky and absorb quickly. I’m notice any difference using this sample. But I read this serum is for wrinkles and anti-ageing. So I guess this one need a long term to use.
